Primary Temple Trip

In January the Primary in our ward did a Temple tour for the primary children around the outside of the temple. It is such a beautiful and peaceful place. we talked about how our family is sealed together forever because Cavan and I were married in the temple. We got to learn a lot of fun facts about the temple. During the dedication of the temple, President Howard W. Hunter leads in a ceremony that is open to the public. There is a cornerstone in the temple that they put a lot of fun things in it that represent Florida. Disney even gave us part of the film sheet that has Jiminy Cricket on it from the movie Pinocchio!

Christmas Time

Wow! Time really got away from me during Christmas time and I have a lot to record. In December we went to our annual tradition we have started here in Florida, by going to St Augustine to ride the Holly Jolly Trolley, and see the whole town lit up with Christmas lights. Pictures can not capture how beautiful it truly is with all the lights. The children just love to ride the trolley. The weather was perfect! KaeLynn was the only one who wanted to take a picture with Santa. Daniel would not do it! He just wanted to run around with his friends. I couldn't even get a picture of him. Linden did great for having to stay up so late.

During Christmas break we had beautiful weather. We spent a lot of time out doors. My kids just love to get wet and dirty. Especially Linden loves the dirt. No matter how much I tried, he would not stop putting sand in his mouth.

Cavan and and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary and my 31st birthday.

On Christmas Eve we got together with our friends the Hughes and decorated gingerbread houses. They also made us delicious orange chicken and a beef and broccoli dish.

Finally Christmas morning came. This was our first Christmas with our little Linden. We had a wonderful morning with our kids and then a great Christmas dinner with my mom.

Also during the break we took our friends to go see the manatees at Blue Springs park. They come in from the river during the winter months. We saw lots of little baby manatees. They are adorable!

Thanksgiving in Kentucky 2017

We drove to Kentucky for Thanksgiving. This was the first time the Dover side got to see Linden. We had a great feast over at the Hunters. The kids had their own table and they each got their own little bottle of Sparkling cider. After Dinner papa took the kids out back and played a game of football with the grand kids. It was so cute to see them running around in the backyard. Then the next night we went to downtown Louisville and watch their annual tree lighting. Santa Claus came through on his sleigh and then he lit the Christmas tree. It was such a surprise because they also had fireworks go off. The kids loved it! We had a real nice visit. I love to come up here and experience the cold fall weather. We also had a real sweet experience going to the temple with Cavan's parents to witness sealing his deceased parents together and then he was sealed to the both of them. I love the temple so much. It was so nice to go to the temple with Cavan's family like that. It is such a peaceful place.

Linden Is eating Solids

We have introduced beef, spinach, and peas at 7 months old. He takes a few bites and just does not seem interested after that. This picture was after he accidentally flicked the spoon and got a splat of beef on his forehead. He is pretty much sitting up on his own now. Stills falls over sometimes but he is getting there. He is starting to grow out of his late afternoon nap. Sometimes he will take a cat nap but I think he is done with it. He is still super smiley and happy. He is wearing 9-12 month clothes and will be 8 months old in just a few days.

Halloween 2017

Since pumpkins in Florida rot so fast after carving and my kids hate touching the pumpkin guts anyways, we decided to paint pumpkins this year, I like this option much better. I think that this will be a new tradition for us.

We did a "trunk or treat" at the church this year, and they asked us to bring our tractor to give hay rides. We got to have a few hay rides around our property before the event. Cavan decorated it very nice!

Then on Halloween, we went with some friends around a neighborhood on a friends trailer.

Daniel was a storm trooper from Star Wars and KaeLynn was a vampiress.

Auntie Michelle made an adorable crochet Yoda costume for Linden.
