Kaelynn and Hunter Safety

This last fall Kaelynn decided that she wanted to get her Hunter safety course completed so she could hunt. This program we have here allows youth 12 and older to go on a youth hunt with an instructor. There are other youth there with their parents, and the instructor helps them learn how to look for animals that are in season to hunt at that time. In order to go, they have to complete the Hunter Safety course.  It took months to complete all the courses, but she did it! Because if COVID, everything was done on line. They last thing she had to do was turn in a target she shot from different positions. Standing, kneeling and laying down. Since Cavan is a member of the National Rifle Association, he was allowed to do her final target shot on our property.  She missed last years hunting season, but this fall we are hoping to get some deer in our freezer!

Our trip up north after Christmas

After Christmas we went up north again to enjoy some colder weather. We stayed in a KOA in North Carolina. We had two other families come with us. We were right on the boarder of North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. We’ve went to all three states to hike. We also found the Ten Commandments on the mountain. That was an exhausting climb to the top! We finished our trip by celebrating New Years! We absolutely love to take these trips with our kids. Someday we want a camper of our own to travel with.

Happy birthday mom!

I had another Birthday! We kept it simple and just had my mom and Steve over. For the first time we went on a trolly ride in Lake Helen to see Christmas lights. Always my favorite!!

Marlo visits!!

Our sweet babysitter from Oregon is all grown up and got married! Her husband’s family just happens to live only 30 miles from us here in Florida, so they came for a visit when there were in the state. She even played a little soccer with Daniel.

Christmas 2020

I’m so behind on blogging! For Christmas we went to the Holly Jolly Trolley in St Augustine again. We were so happy they were still doing it regardless the pandemic. It was actually very nice being less crowded!   We also went to a Hanukkah celebration at our neighbors house. We loved it!
