Rock City

 On our way up to Kentucky for Thanksgiving we stopped at Rock City. It’s right on the border of Georgia and Tennessee and it has a beautiful look out over the mountains. We did a self-guided tour and the kids absolutely loved it! All the rocks were so beautiful and each part of the tour had a different theme. The kids did not want to leave. They loved it so much!

Halloween and Harvest fun

While we were gone on our motorcycle trip, Nana and Papa took the kids to a corn maze and had all sorts of fun harvest activities. 

We also had Halloween and had fun dressing up! Cavan was Rooster from Top Gun Maverick, I was a flapper from the 1920’s, Kaelynn was a Day Of The Dead girl, Daniel was a Fortnight character, Linden was Black Panther and Jax was Captain America. We went to Minnesota Ave close to Downtown Deland. It was so busy!! A little bit overwhelming keeping track of all the kids. But all the houses were decorated so well and it was fun getting into the Halloween spirit!

Hurricane Ian and Linden’s first tooth

Hurricane Ian came this season and even though it was pretty devastating to a lot of people,  we were lucky and did not have a lot of damage. The most of our damage was in the old goat area where the cows were. The cows are ok though! 

Linden lost his first tooth in the front lower left. He was so excited!! He savored that dollar he got from the tooth fairy for a long time dreaming of all the things he would buy with it. He was disappointed that all he could afford was a hot wheel car! 

 

Kaelynn and Daniel’s birthday

 

Kaelynn and Daniel had their birthdays in September. 

My sweet, silly, handsome Daniel turned 11!  He is such a good kid and makes sure that everyone is following the rules. He loves Fortnite and always wants to be with his friends. He is now learning how to play drums instead of Saxophone and he sends to enjoy the drums much better.

My sweet, beautiful, amazing, and talented daughter turned 14! I can’t believe it! She loves music and wants to learn to play everything! I’m not kidding. Right now she is playing trumpet in her school band. Learning how to play violin through Millennium Musicians group, and taking a music elective class where the students are put into groups and rotate learning new instruments. First she did ukulele, then keyboard, and now she is on bass guitar. she always has a way of making my laugh, and she’ll never admit it but she has a sweet spot for her brothers. She is always willing to help me out with the boys. I’m so blessed to be a mom to this awesome kids!

First day of school

 First day of school pictures! Kaelynn missed the first day of school because she had an eye infection, but was able to go the second day, and is now an 8th grader! She got contacts over the summer, but because of the eye infection she had to wear her glasses. She was so disappointed! Daniel is now in 5th grade and is also safely patrol! Linden is now in Kindergarten!! And I get Jax all to my self during the day! 

Cavan and Jax birthdays

 

Cavan and Jax had their Birthdays in August. Cavan turned the BIG 4O and has been rockin the mustache I love so much! He does awesome mostly taking care of the cows and chickens and being the fun awesome dad we all love so much!

Jax turned 3! He is so independent and is ready to take on the world! He is potty trained now and I was shocked that he figured it out so fast. He was my easiest kid to potty train out of all four of them. He loves dinosaurs and is always singing the theme song to Jurassic Park 😄 He just figured out how to swim on his own and loves to be in the water. He loves to snuggle the dog, and is always the one to start a wrestling fight. Jax brings our family so much joy!
