Dance Recital

To end this year's dance season KaeLynn had another recital. She danced to "Tears of a Clown". She was so adorable and did great. We brought Daniel, and he did way better than expected. He sat so still and watch while KaeLynn was dancing, and that's all that I cared about!

Rose Garden

we started out to go to the Zoo. After driving through horrible traffic, we find there is not a parking spot anywhere!! we drove around for ever, and just more and more cars were coming in. The kids were crushed. So since we drove all that way we decided to go to Washington Park to play on their huge playground. We drive up to see it is closed!! They were painting it. The poor kids were crushed again! We found a spot to have a picnic then walked over to the Rose Garden. It seems the kids soon forgot their troubles and ran around happily. It smelled so nice there!

Chickens

Cavan and I had the opportunity to process chickens at our local farm that we buy milk and eggs from. I was a little nervous, but it really wasn't that bad. We got a free chicken, and lunch. Also the experience of how to process a chicken. I think I would do it again :)

Newport

Kea came into town from Utah so we stayed in Newport for the weekend with her. It was a beautiful weekend. The kids had so much fun on the beach. Daniel was truly a happy kid running around in the sand and water.  It was also father's day weekend. We had bonfires at night while KaeLynn and Hailey played in the sand for hours. They just loved being out there! The wind died down at night, so it was perfect for a fire. KaeLynn was so sad to leave. We have to go the beach more often.

 

 

Shooting

A family friend let our family go out to their property in Corbett to shoot our guns. It was a real awesome place to bring the family. There was lots for the kids to do on one part of the property, while the adults took turns on another part of the property shooting. It is so beautiful out there!

 

Sunriver

 

Cavan and I went to Sunriver, OR for a weekend to get away. It was amazing!!! Nana and Papa took the kids for us and we had 2 days of bliss! The weather was perfect. We went biking a lot! These pictures are when we rode to the Deschutes River. We also went horse back riding! Sunriver is not busy until after Memorial weekend so there was not a lot of people which was perfect! This was my first time traveling on my GAPS diet and it went very well. We just made sure the place we rented had a kitchen, and I packed all my food in a cooler.
