Wahclella Falls

Saturday was a nice day so we decided to hike Wahclella Falls in the Gorge. It is a very short and easy hike. KaeLynn did great! It was a mile in and a mile out. Only on the way back did KaeLynn need to take a couple of breaks to rest her legs. Daniel has another tooth coming in, and has been very grumpy the last couple of days so this trip was much needed for all of us. Daniel really enjoyed being outside. We came to several bridges to cross, and Cavan is always calling Daniel "the grumpy old troll that lives under the bridge". So we took a picture of him coming up from the bridge. You would never guess he is ever grumpy because he looks so adorable in this picture! I enjoy these outdoors activities so much and plan to do much more this season!

The Zoo Again

On Monday we went to the Zoo with our good friend Trish and her kids because her sister was visiting from Utah. It was such a perfect day to go because Spring Break is over, and there was not a lot of people. The weather was also pretty good. KaeLynn always has fun playing with her friends Ava and Mya.

KaeLynn was sleeping like a lion on the rock after we went to see the Lion exhibit. The kids did great and we were all exhausted when we got home.

Easter 2012

This Easter we actually got to have an Easter egg hunt outside! The weather was actually nice. It was great! Nana made all the girls matching dresses and flowers. Even the moms got flowers to match. All the boys in the family also had matching ties. Everyone came to our ward for church and after we went to Nana and Papa's house for a delicious Easter dinner and an egg hunt. We had a great time!
The Easter Bunny (Cavan) got the children these bubbles that were dyed colors. The were getting everywhere and making a HUGE mess! Maybe next year there will no bubbles. :)

Daniel was adorable for his first Easter. He really enjoyed being around so many people.

This is KaeLynn before Nana picked her up to go the park for a HUGE Easter egg hunt and to see the Easter Binny fly in on a helicopter! As soon as KaeLynn understood that it was Easter season, all she could talk about was seeing the Easter Bunny in the helicopter, because that is what we did last year. We all had plans to go as a big family, but it didn't work out that way this year. Nana was so nice to take KaeLynn for us.

Nana said that KaeLynn was much happier at a distance from the Easter Bunny, so here is her picture with him the background.

Fuzzy Blanket

Daniel got a really soft fuzzy blanket at his baby shower, and KaeLynn really loves it! It is hard for her to let Daniel have it. Today I found the both of them holding it and sucking their thumbs. It is so funny how my kids are so much alike! I love it! This picture has KaeLynn's crazy morning hair! :)

6 Months

I can not believe how fast time has gone by. Daniel is still technically 6 months old until the 8th so I took these pictures just in time. Yes I take my kids pics at home for their 6 months pictures, but I still think they turned out cute! Daniel is such a sweet little boy. He got his first tooth in 2 weeks ago. You can barely see the little tooth there on the bottom in the picture below. He is 19 pounds! He nurses 4 times a day, and eats solids twice. In addition to eating rice cereal and avocados, he now has had zucchini, green beans, and turnips. His next vegetable is parsnips. Oh I can't wait until we start getting veggies from our farm. The possibilities are endless! He sleeps about 12 hours at night, takes 2 decent naps a day and sometimes a short 3rd nap. He is such a light sleeper, so if any noise wakes him he refuses to go back to sleep. It is very hard sometimes. He is also a momma's boy! I can't not leave his sight for a second without him screaming. It is very exhausting sometimes. I am starting to leave him alone while I am in the next room to try to have him be comfortable with out me, and you would think he was dyeing by the way he was screaming. And it was only for 5 minuets! He does love seeing KaeLynn's face and Cavan's face. KaeLynn is so sweet to him and she can always make him laugh. He still is spiting up a lot. In addition to not eating wheat, corn, and dairy I am also taking out eggs. I have noticed a difference with his reflux, but I think I still need a few more days to get it out of my system. The wheat and corn is for me because I can not handle it, and the dairy and eggs is because Daniel can't handle it. We have been so blessed with this beautiful healthy boy, and I am grateful everyday for him.
