Virginia 2021

We drove up as a family up to Virginia in the fall to see the fall colors. It was a beautiful but difficult trip. It’s such a long drive for just a weekend. But the colors were so pretty. I just love being up in the mountains. Our little campground was nice too, but it was so cold and Linden HATES to be cold. He was very uncomfortable on this trip and he let us know it! Hiking was hard too and the elevation was very steep. Cavan and I ended up carrying the little ones up hill. It was exhausting, especially since I just gotten over Covid and I was not in top shape yet. But overall I’m glad we got to experience a little bit of fall. 

 

Linden’s soccer and a concert

Cavan and I got to go to a free concert to see Hoobastank at a motorcycle festival about an hour away. The website had conflicting information and we practically missed the whole show except the very end of it. What we did see was really fun though.

Linden tried soccer this season and he was so excited to start on his own team, seeing Daniel play. He did great at the practices, but once the games started he was not interested. He refused to play at all, and would be off playing on the bleachers or off on the sidelines away from his team. On the last game he finally got the courage to go out there during a game, just to get run over by some players and he lost a shoe. Poor kid. His team went out to ice cream and he was still happy to receive his medal.
