Thanksgiving in Kentucky

This year we grew our own turkey and brought it with us all the way to Kentucky! It was a huge bird weighing at 24lbs!

Soccer fall 2020

We were so happy that soccer was still open, even with the pandemic going on. It was such a rough start of the season. We kept getting rained out. We didn’t win one have this season or even score a point, but on the last game of the season it was tied 0-0 sob somebody had to score. At the very end they let each team take turns shooting at the goalie. We scored the one point and won! It was such an exciting moment!! It is so fun to go and watch the kids play.

The kids

Jax has changed so much. He loves to eat food, especially the oranges that have come in on our Orange tree.  He started to talk a little bit. He says daddy, momma, and when he says good bye he waves and says “dye!”
Linden is constantly keeping me on my toes! He loves to play, play, play!!! He is getting better at potty training. We have really good days, and then we don’t. He really wants to start school and wants to play with friends every day.
Daniel is doing so well in his Reading Counts program at school. He is really competitive and won an award at school. Of course we had to watch the ceremony online, but that’s actually easier when I have little kids at home.
Kaelynn is in her tween stage. Doesn’t like her picture taken, but deep down I know she is still my sweet little Kaelynn!
This year was a crazy election! I wanted to vote in person because of all the nasty rumors going around off Mail in votes not being counted properly. I had to wait in line for an hour because a lot more people voted this year and they had to sanitize each station after each person used it. But it was worth it. It doesn’t matter if the election didn’t go the way I wanted. I did my part in voting, and we has a family are doing all we can to raise our children to be good people that contribute to society.

Motorcycle trip October 2020

Cavan and I went on our motorcycle trip to see the fall colors with our friends the Loughmiller’s. We stayed in Tennessee this time in a cute little cabin called Two Owls and a View. The first day we did touristy things in Gatlinburg, TN. We did a tree canopy walk, and an alpine slide. It was actually pretty warm that day. The next couple of days were cooler and we spent the rest of our time riding in the mountains enjoying all the beautiful colors.  We also rode on the Tail Of The Dragon. It’s 318 curves in 11 miles. We went to go see elk in Cherokee NC. There is a visitor center where the elk are protected and they roam around freely in the fields. After watching them for a while we drove off, only to find a large pack of elk on the road. It was so cool!!! We had a very nice trip!
