Daniel Boy

This boy has changed so much just in the last couple of days! He is starting to understand the signs I have been teaching him and has slowly started to use them. It is adorable! Let me list off all the new things he is doing. He is now clapping his hands, he can go from laying on the ground to sitting. I was so shocked when I went to get him from his nap and he was sitting up. He is signing "more" and trying to sign "all done" but not quite there yet, and today I saw him scooting towards a toy he wanted because he really hates laying on his stomach and refuses to crawl. He still likes to be partially wrapped up when he sleeps, and he is a blanky boy! He is much happier when he has his blanky! He also adores KaeLynn. When he gets up from a nap sometimes he can be grumpy, but as soon has he sees KaeLynn his whole face lights up and he squeals! He loves to be held and apart of what is going on. He really loves to play with his sister even if that means jumping on her in the jumper! I know some days feel like they gone on forever, but he really is growing up fast.

Fathers Day Weekend

We had a very busy weekend between Brandon's graduation, father's day and Andrew and Roy'l birthday. At my dad's house the kids got to ride on the lawn mower with grandpa. I swear when Daniel sits on something with wheels and a steering wheel, he becomes a different baby. I can tell he can hardly wait to drive one of these things! He loved it! After KaeLynn say how much fun Daniel had she finally decided to give it a try and she also loved it! Then My dad's girl friend Shannon has a friend with dwarf baby goats. So we went to her land so KaeLynn could feed them. They were so adorable, Even Daniel would squeal when he got close to them. We then drove back to Cavan's parents and had a BBQ with them. It was a very fun and eventful weekend!

Brandon Graduated!!

My youngest brother did it! He graduated from High School. He had to work super hard, but he did it!! We are all so proud of him!!! We even had our sister Carissa that we haven't seen in such a long time come!! It was so nice to all be together!! We started the night celebrating at Gustav's. Brandon loves the German culture so it was very fitting to go to a German restaurant. Then we went to the ceremony and waiting forever to hear them call his name. He was the second to last name called! Now he will enlist in the Air Force. He is so excited for what his future has in store for him. Good Job Brandon!!

Lewis and Clark Park

As most people know I LOVE to go on hikes. I enjoy being in the outdoors so much, and I really would love to share that passion with  my kids. So I try to get them out as much as possible in hopes they can develop of a love of their own. Last weekend we went to Lewis and Clark Park. This one is by far my favorite because it is nice and short, really close to our house, and it can be as easy or as difficult as you like. If you get to the very top it has an amazing view! Well last week I got very sick with a breast infection. Daniel has been weening himself from me and it was to much to fast, leaving  me with the infection. It was absolutely horrible, and after being coupe up in the house all week, I was dying to get out! KaeLynn had a blast. She loved going off and exploring, and scooting around from rock to rock. She got so muddy!

Daddy Daughter Day

When KaeLynn was in Joy School they had a daddy daughter day where all the dads took the kids in their class and they got to ride the max, the trolley, and then on the tram. It was a very exciting day for KaeLynn.

Memorial Flag Ceromony

This year the kids and I joined Cavan and his scouts to help plant flags next to the fallen soldiers grave sites. It was such  a nice way to pay our respects and to show KaeLynn why we celebrate Memorial Day. I am still not sure she understands yet,but it was still nice to do as a family. After the ceremony KaeLynn and I helped plant some flags, but then it started pouring rain, so I took the kids to the truck and waited until the scouts were through. It is an amazing site to see all the flags up throughout the cemetery,
