Sweetheart Dance

This year the Sweetheart dance at church was  Hawaiian theme. My good friend Amanda told me about this pattern of a dress she made that is really easy and perfect for summer. Since I want to be more crafty, I decided to make the dress. It was easy!! I love it, and thought it worked perfect for the theme. We had a light fancy dinner over at Nana and Papa's, then headed over to the dance. This year a full dinner was served at the dance so we had chicken salad at the Dover's instead of a full course meal like we have done in the past. It was delicious! I love this time of the year, when we get to dress up all fancy and have a night to ourselves!

Daddy Daughter Dance

This year Cavan took KaeLynn to a Daddy Daughter Dance with our friends the Knowels. It is was in Milwaukee at their community center. They had a nice dinner, played fun games, ate dessert, and of course Danced! KaeLynn was so excited for this dance. I painted her nails (which she LOVES to do), did her makeup, and her hair. She got to wear her special Easter dress that she hasn't worn yet. I could tell she felt very special! It was a fun night for the both of them.
