Power Wheels
The kids love the power wheels they got for their birthday. Daniel is in charge of the radio and KaeLynn is in charge of driving. KaeLynn is actually a very good driver. She picked up the technique for this right away. We didn't realize how good she was until we let other kids drive it. I hope this means she will be a good driver when she is a teenager!
Service Project
Our church does service projects from time to time and I took our kids to this one. We went to Butler Creek park and helped clean up Blackberry bushes. I think it is very important even at a young age that my kids do service. When we can do it as a family, it is even better! Daniel did pretty good following KaeLynn around, but after about an hour in a half I left with the kids and let Cavan finish helping until it was done.

KaeLynn's new School
This year I decided to put KaeLynn in a Montessori school. She missed the cut off date for Kindergarten by two weeks. This girl is to smart to do preschool again. I decided to put her in a school that has the tools to let her keep excelling as far as her little mind will take her. She seriously is so smart. She is already starting to read. The school also offers piano lessons there, which is a huge help for our schedule. She loved school at first. At about the third week she started to really hate school. It was a big change from preschool, and I think she realized that this was going to be her new schedule and she didn't like it. She started to really throw fits when it was time to go. I mean, very mean violent fits. I stayed strong, and the teachers were very supportive and we stuck with it. Cavan also gave her a father's blessings and that seemed to do the trick. She now loves school, and looks forward to going everyday!
Playtime
Portland to Coast 2013
Portland to Coat was so fun this year!!! I rocked my times and improved from last year. I actually got some sleep this year. It was very little sleep, but much better than last year when I didn't sleep at all. Last year we tried sleeping outside, and it was horrible! This year we slept in the van and we were all much more comfortable. The weather ended up being beautiful at the end. It rained a little bit the first day and night, but cleared up nice. Roy'l and I made tutu's which we thought were very fun. Everyone on my team was great. The best part was the very end when we put our feet in the ocean!
At the Farm
Tonight we went to our local farm to get milk and to visit the new baby calf. We just love this farm! The children lov to play, and feed the animals. We have experienced so much with these lovely farmers. We have processed chickens, watch twin baby goats be born, and have been a part of our local community. I love having my children know where their food comes from. It helps that they have and awesome farm cat that we all adore!
Hood River 2013
We went to our annual family trip to Hood River last weekend. We went earlier in the season than we normally do to fit everyone schedules so it was not nearly as busy. It was kind of nice with out the normal crowds of people. The children loved every little farm stand we went to. We picked out our pumpkins, ate ice cream (I know I let my kids have ice cream) ate yummy warm chili, bought fresh pressed apple cider, bought local produce, went to visit the alpacas, and took in all the beautiful scenery!

Lake Merwin
In August we drove up to the lake just to pick up the boat for the youth boating activity for church. It was so pretty that we just had to take some pictures with our cute kids. KaeLynn was in a mood where she did not want her photo take. I had to trick her into the one I did get.
Hike with the kids
During the summer there was a hiking group in our church that did family friendly hikes once a week. I was only able to work out to do one of them, but that was enough for me! Daniel was so heavy, and KaeLynn cried the majority of the time. It was way to long for her. Besides the kiddos, the hike was so beautiful! I look forward to doing more of these when the kids are older!
