Mothers Day Trees

This year I asked for a tree to plant for Mothers Day. I wanted to have something that we can look back on years from now and know that we planted it when we first moved in. Of course I wanted a Linden tree. I ended up getting 2 linden trees and 2 pine oak trees. We laughed when we saw them. They are just twigs! You can barely see them in the pictures we took. We really hope they grow! 

Another day at the beach

We have a good friend from Oregon visiting us and we took him to the beach. He really enjoyed the warm water! It was supposed to rain, but it turned out to be a really beautiful day. Linden was such a good boy! He was laying in his pea pod when a big gust of wind blew some sand on him. I was trying to wipe it away from his face and as I did he just kept giving me the biggest smiles. He is so sweet! KaeLynn and Daniel were fun to watch has they played together trying to boogie board. Then they were catching little tiny clams together. I just love these moments with my family ❤

Tractor, Beach and a Growing Boy

A lot has been going on! We inherited a tractor and Cavan and the kids are having way to much fun playing with it. At our new house we have to put the garbage can and recycling out on the main road which is way to far to drag. Cavan hooks it up to the tractor and drives it out there. The kids love it. We had our first family ride there other day as we all drove out the garbage can. It was Linden and my first ride. It was actually fun! Our neighbors have about 7 cows that we pass as we ride down the long sand road. It's funny to watch the cows blank stares as we slowly chug on past them. It's a beautiful stretch of road with lots of trees. It's so peaceful out there. We absolutely love it! We also recently took our family to the beach just for a couple hours. This was Linden's first beach trip. He slept the whole time. We love the beaches here in Florida. It is one of my favorite places to go, especially with the kids! Linden is now 6 weeks old. He as already changed so much. He starting to show more expression in his face. He is even smiling a little. Melts my heart ❤ He is now 11 1/2 lbs. We hope he gets real chunky soon 😁 We were never successful with nursing because after seeing a oral motor therapist we figured out that the reason he wasn't latching on was because the left side of his mouth is much weaker then there right. He doesn't have the strength to nurse. It's a lot of work! So I have been pumping and bottle feeding him. I plan to do this as long has I have some milk. I do have to supplement with a goat milk formula. Linden is such a joy to have. We all can't get enough of him!

Easter 2017

This was our first Easter in our new house and for Linden. It was so fun for the kids to have such a huge yard to hunt for Easter eggs. We had my mom and Steve over and some friends over for an Easter dinner. We then made cobbler in the Dutch oven outside. We have an outdoor kitchen here that is perfect for these gatherings. Cavan was putting together my gluten free cobbler for me and it was not cooking through like the other ones. It was starting to get dark and it was a school night and I was starting to think I wouldn't get dessert. But we figured out what went wrong and at last I got my dessert! Good thing to because I get cranky when I don't get to eat! It was prefect weather for our gathering outside. We also had a great time at church as we celebrated Christ's resurrection. I can't believe I forgot to take more pictures! This one is the only one I took. KaeLynn placed these eggs around him while he slept. I pushed him around in the stroller as the kids searched for their eggs. Overall we had a great day!

Day Off

After Linden was born, we had a lot going on all at once. We just moved into our house a week before he was born so that was stressful in it of it self! We were still trying to unpack and just find things. Linden had a bunch of appointments to check his jaundice status (he was border line jaundice). We live a half hour from where we did before and I thought I would let the kids finish the school year where they were since there were so many other changes going on and the school year is almost over. But linden is not nursing and I am pumping to feed him and extremely sleep deprived. It finally all got too much. I let the kids play hookie and I really got to enjoy our new property. No schedules, no appointments, and no unpacking. It was so nice to be in the moment with my children. We walked around, read books under a tree, and explored around. Life can get very overwhelming, and sometimes you can't do anything about it but breath.

Motorcycle Dates

Cavan has gotten himself a Harley. Our best friends here in Florida have a motorcycle and we have the best time going on rides with them. I enjoy the weather so much here, and going for a ride is so nice! My favorite is going to the beach!

Friends

We have made such good friends here in Florida. I am so grateful to know such good people and thankfully their kids get along so well with mine. Gideon is Daniel's best friend. Actually his first friend ever! Before we moved here Daniel had a real hard time getting along with other kids. When Daniel met Giddy he instantly clicked with him and they have been inseparable since.

Linden James Dover

Linden has joined our family March 25th at 8:06 am. He was 7lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. I had such a fast labor compared to my first two. I went into labor around 1 am. Everything went so well and I have healed very nicely! Kaelynn and Daniel just adore their little brother. Kaelynn is so helpful. She is such a little momma! Daniel is very protective of Linden. It's adorable. I forgot how amazing it is to have a precious little baby again! We are so over joyed to have him.
