Newport Beach

This weekend we went to Newport beach with our good friends Dave and Michelle Hicks. They had a little Condo that they let us stay in with them. It was crowded with their two kids and then the three of us, but still was a lot of fun!It was beautiful there but it is still the Oregon coast and we were cold! Of course on the day we left it was gorgeous outside with not a lot of wind.KaeLynn got a kick out of the sea lions. They we so cute lounging in the sun! Every time we tilted her stroller so she could see them she would jump up and down and squeal!
Then KaeLynn got to sit at the wheel with her daddy at the ice cream shop! As you can see she looks more excited than Cavan! Yes we ate lots of ice cream. You can't go to the beach with out eating ice cream!

Lake Merwin

This weekend we went to Lake Merwin with Cavan's family and the weather was gorgeous! KaeLynn is a true camper. She went into the pool for the first time and loved it. When night came KaeLynn enjoyed her first late night campfire. We stayed up late and ate yummy smores. It was an awesome weekend and we can't wait to go back!

One step closer to crawling!

Look at my baby!! She will be 8 months old tomorrow and we were finally able to get her up on all fours and she was able to stay there by herself. I was so proud of her. She has slowly starting to scoot herself back when she is on her tummy and I can see it in her eyes that she wants to crawl. Soon she will be taking over the world! Hahaha!

My first mothers day...

I love being a mother! KaeLynn is the greatest thing that ever happened to me (besides meeting Cavan) and I am so blessed to have her in my life. Cavan made me feel real special on my day. He woke up real early in the morning to make me breakfast before church. He then gave me a card from KaeLynn that had this cute sticker that said "The Amazing Incredible Super Mom" . I was proud to wear it! Cavan also got me a gift card to Nordstroms so I can buy myself something special. After church we went to Cavan's parents and roasted hot dogs in their back yard over a fire. We also roasted marshmallows and eclairs Yummy!! Then we drove to my mom's in Vancouver and ate more hot dogs! Then we played basketball and football in the street. It could not have been a better mothers day!
